As promised, below are interviews with Misha Collins, Jared Padalecki, Eric Kripke, Jim Beaver and Sera Gamble from the “Supernatural” press room at Comic-Con, plus a brief summary of the show’s Sunday panel. Scattered through this post are photos of Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles and other “Supernatural” folks at the panel and signing posters at the convention. This Sunday blog post has the complete audio of the “Supernatural” panel, which was a lot of fun, as you may be able to tell from the recording and my tweets during the session. But amid the joking around, the audience got some…
he is a pretty interesting fellow isn't he…
Misha: (on Supernatural) I think the show works because it's not just about two guys chasing down evil monsters, it's about two very different brothers who are fighting forces of darkness in order to resolve their own personal histories and to exorcise their own inner demons. In other words, the show is compelling because the brothers are personally compelled.
Misha: The philosophical underpinnings of my approach to acting are that there are universal human qualities, and that every character is actually available within each one of us, that if we tap down into that universal humanness, we can find whatever character it is that we need to play already there within ourselves, and it's just a matter of peeling apart the onion that is you and finding that character within you, because of this universal human quality
No, not really. I always thought Jake Gyllenhaal looked like Tobey MacGuire, but I don't think that's a new concept.
